I’m a little odd in that I tend to get very excited by a good range of stationery. Show me some coloured paper, glitter pens, post-it-notes: you’ve got me! So it’s no surprise that when it comes to wedding stationery, I’m in seventh heaven. You can be so creative nowadays with invitations, save the dates, envelopes, escort cards, table plans, menu cards; and it’s a great way to introduce your theme or colour scheme from the get-go.
Depending on your budget, you may decide to have your invitation suite designed by a stationery company, or you might choose to DIY (with the help of family and friends of course!). If you have a creative friend or family member, they might offer to design your invitations as their gift to you. With so many materials available in shops and online, it has never been easier to make a beautiful suite of stationery at home. All you need is a steady hand with a scissors (or a guillotine), someone with good handwriting and of course plenty of patience!
So what do you need to remember? The basic suite should include the invitation, reply card and of course envelope.
Optional Extras —
